Why it's only in 320x240 format?
A small image serves the purpose well enough comparing to the network bandwith wich a higher resolution image would consume. Also the low resolution keeps people's privacy intact. There is enough surveillance cams keeping eye on your life already.
Why the whole site is in English? You are a Finnish speaking native yourself, right?
The fact is that the most of the site visitors come outside of Finland, and the other fact is that the most of the Finnish people can speak English well enough to cope through the site. Yeah-yeah, we are also lazy bastards or too busy to make a bilingual site, which ever is a better excuse...
The (name of the page) looks awkward. The text/image/whatever is out of place. Could you please do something about it?
You are using Micro$oft Internet Exploder, right? It would be great to live in a perfect World with ideal, balanced and equally interpreted web syntax, but since this is not the case, these pages are only tested to work with Firefox, Safari and Chrome.
Can I advertise within your site?
These pages were not originally designed to serve economical well-being, but since everything has a price tag attached to it — especially when keeping this kind of site alive and online 24/7, we won't say no straight away. When I click the compass on still image page, I get a list of coordinates. What are those?
They all represent the exact spot of the camera, but since it's difficult to lay flat this ball of ours — called Earth — geologists have invented many different ways to express the location coordinates. Peter H. Dana has wrote an excellent overview of these systems.
Someone scratched my car while it was parked within the view of the camera. Do you have CCTV recordings available?
Unfortunately we are not saving any images, and security wise there would be no use of low resolution image anyhow.
Could you help me to accomplish this and that with my own webcam?
Unfortunately time is a limited resource, and we recommend that first you check from Google if someone else has had the same problem. That is the way how we have learned almost all we know about the webcams — and stuff... But if that doesn't help, we might be able to assist you if you are willing to hire us. Don't worry, our consultancy fees are dirt cheap :)
